Over Bluetooth
Connect to the controller and check for updates. Keep the ignition on for the whole update so power is not cut partway through.
Over USB-C
Plug into the controller directly. This is the fallback if Bluetooth is unavailable, and it is the faster of the two.
If an update fails
The controller keeps the previous firmware until a new image is verified, so a failed update leaves it working rather than bricked.
If it does not come back, email support with your serial number.
