# CARGB Simulator Licence

**Tevtronix — CARGB firmware, WebAssembly build**

This licence covers the CARGB controller firmware compiled to WebAssembly, together with the configuration dashboard it serves, when run in a web browser. This is the software behind the simulator on tevtronix.com.

Firmware installed on a controller is covered by the [CARGB Firmware Licence](https://tevtronix.com/license/firmware).

## 1. What you may do

You may run the simulator in a web browser, from tevtronix.com or tevtronics.com, without restriction on frequency or duration. No account, payment or prior permission is required. Any configuration you apply is local to the simulation and affects no physical device.

The simulator runs the controller's production firmware compiled for a different processor, rather than a reproduction of its behaviour.

## 2. What this licence does not grant

This licence permits use of the simulator as served from the Tevtronix websites. It does not permit you to:

- download the WebAssembly module or dashboard and host, serve or redistribute them elsewhere
- embed the simulator in another website or application
- run it other than as served, including from a private or offline copy
- use it, or anything derived from it, to develop or configure hardware not manufactured and sold by Tevtronix

Inspecting what your browser has loaded, in order to understand or verify it, is permitted, as is anything the law allows regardless of these terms (see section 4). The restriction is on redistribution and reuse.

## 3. No device rights

Use of the simulator confers no rights in respect of any physical controller, and no licence to install this firmware on hardware. Those rights are granted with a device, under the CARGB Firmware Licence.

## 4. Your legal rights

Nothing in this licence removes a right conferred by law, including reverse engineering permitted for interoperability, error correction, security research or repair.

The simulator is provided as is and without warranty. It executes on your own device, in an environment Tevtronix has no visibility of.

Nothing in this licence excludes, restricts or modifies the Australian Consumer Law guarantees applying to goods and services Tevtronix supplies.

## 5. Third-party components

This build includes the same open-source components as the device firmware, each under its own licence. The notices those licences require are published in full at https://tevtronix.com/license/third-party.
